Try to group items you're storing by type and pack similar items in the same box. Don't underpack boxes, as they could buckle under the weight of other boxes. Fill extra space with packing paper or bubble wrap.

Wardrobe boxes are great for storing extra clothing or heirlooms. Be sure to label each box clearly so that you can find it quickly. Tape each box firmly. Pack your storage unit with less important items toward the back and more important ones toward the front for easy access.
